The UK festival scene's best kept secret, 110 Above Festival have confirmed that their 2021 edition will be going ahead as planned between 12th - 15th August.
Already announced for the intimate, feel-good weekend are legendary indie headliners Sports Team, The Amazons and Sundara Karma alongside rising stars Yonaka, Vistas, The Snuts, Rhys Lewis, Alfie Templeman, BLOXX and Kawala.
Speaking about today's announcement, director Michael Lain says: “It’s full steam ahead and we are busily planning for a full-blown, no holds barred festival.
As a small festival and taking place in mid-August we had been hopeful that we would be able to have people back to the farm this year. This week’s announcements and the fantastic work being done by the NHS and volunteers in getting as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible has boosted our confidence further.
Whilst we have seen a surge in ticket sales since Monday we remain mindful that nothing is firm yet and our number one priority is looking after those that have afforded us their trust by purchasing a ticket for the festival.
We are closely monitoring official guidance from Public Health England, UK Government, local public health authorities and the Association of Independent Festivals in regard to public events and outdoor gatherings and we will implement recommendations and instructions appropriately.
There is of course the (thankfully not so significant) possibility that 2021 could be a no goer. Rest assured if this is the case, all ticket holders will be given the opportunity to claim a refund.
Fingers crossed these next few months see more continued positive news, and if we can take place safely in 2021, it promises to be one hell of a 110 Above party.”
