Brighton’s Safe To Swim are a band I’ve been super excited about ever since I interviewed them back in March (read here). Their debut single Struggling has had a firm place in my playlists since then, if it hasn’t been playing in my earphones then it’s definitely been stuck in my head.
Now, they’re back with a brand new single. Pretty In The Morning is just as exciting as Struggling; sticking with melancholic lyrics and a big chorus, Safe To Swim’s indie edged pop is easy listening. Gritty guitar works perfectly with Jim Filippides’ raw vocals and upbeat drums, confirming Safe To Swim as definite ones to watch for 2017.
