Birmingham’s self described “indie-dance” quartet The Assist are a band more than capable of building a hype. Having played festival sets at the likes of Reading Festival and TRNSMT, 2018 has seen the announcement of their new Lost EP, and shows with Rat Boy and Black Honey, straight off the back of their Winter tour with The Twang and Jaws.
The latest release from the Brum boys certainly reflects the successes they have under their belts. Oozing with indie-anthem potential, All That I Need is the work of a band on the rise. Driven by synth and wailing guitar, it’s atmospheric yet feel good sound truly sets The Assist apart from the masses of rising indie bands of the moment. Combining their youthful energy with a big chorus, All That I Need has all the elements of a summer anthem, proving The Assist as strong breakthrough contenders for 2018.
