Scouse quartet The Cheap Thrills’ previous two singles have already proved their potential, with Sentimentality and Codependence making it onto Spotify’s ‘Hot New Bands’ and ‘The Indie List’ playlists, and securing plays on BBC Radio 6 and Radio X, it’s pretty clear to see they’re one of the strongest bands Merseyside has on offer.
Recorded in Liverpool’s own Parr Street Studios, Accident Prone is the latest release from the band. In true Cheap Thrills style, it’s a track full to the brim with catchy hooks and a driving beat. As we’ve come to expect, frontman Lewis Pike’s vocals are bolshy and oozing with a loveable scouse tinge; giving Accident Prone the anthemic feel which The Cheap Thrills do so well. Single after single, the Liverpool lads are making themselves known as strong contenders for future festival line ups, and no doubt will be spread across posters within the next year.
