Alongside the news of her eagerly awaited debut album Good At Falling, produced by BJ Burton and The 1975’s George Daniel (out 1st March), Amber Bain aka The Japanese House has shared the second single to be taken from the album, Follow My Girl.
As with previous release Lilo, Follow My Girl sees Amber expand on her vulnerabilities; offering a more direct, personal side to The Japanese House. “Different people have their different ways of living / I chose mine and it was unforgiving” displays a feeling of unease; and despite the raw emotion of it’s lyrics, Follow My Girl's dance inducing chorus makes for a bittersweet, upbeat track.
Unease aside, one thing is for sure. Amber Bain is truly coming into her own, and following the release of Follow My Girl, anticipation for her debut is stronger than ever.
