Determined to draw a line under the music industry’s misogyny, today Manchester trio Hot Minute unveil their fired up debut, Magic.
“Magic embodies taking the negative and flipping on it’s head to gain something positive” states vocalist Keely Hutchinson, echoing all three of the girls’ shared experiences of the industry so far which prompted the creation of Hot Minute.
Despite their influences ranging from Youtube build-a-beat rap instrumentals to obscure 80s B-Sides, the trio’s debut leans more towards the sound of Pale Waves and CHVRCHES. Magic is a shimmering piece of synth pop packed with catchy hooks and upbeat melody, all of which is topped off by Keely’s infectious vocals; making for a solid debut from a band determined to make a change.
