Bursting in with a blunt ‘screw you’ attitude, Coach Party’s Oh Lola is the kinda track that asks for a dirty beer in a sweaty crowd.
From the get-go, Coach Party’s wilding guitars, muted vocals and a matter of fact style embody an angsty and rebellious sound already dripping with remarkable personality for a first single. Their psych-rock sound melds their Nirvana and Tame Impala inspirations, and feels like it should be playing in every vintage shop selling ripped Levi 501’s.
Oh Lola is a track for making a bad day good. There’s no hidden meaning - vocalist Jess Eastwood said the track is about overcoming negativity and having a good time - but that’s why it’s cool. It’s a fun track for having fun and they’ll be furious if you tell ‘em not to.
