Cat Ryan - Mannerism

Having already cemented themselves with a string of bright and uplifting indie-pop tunes such as Amsterdam and their brilliant self-titled EP last year, Newcastle’s Cat Ryan now return with their latest dose of euphoric whimsy on Mannerism.

Taking their cues from the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club and Alvvays, this sparkling and vibrant new offering sees them reach to a whole new height. With an instantly captivating banjo hook and soaring atmosphere, their latest material looks to bring a dreamy and warming aesthetic to the fledgling art-rock scene.

Speaking about their new release, front woman Mary-Anne said, “Mannerism is a self-reflexive song based on the frustration of trying to read people, sometimes to the extent that it controls your everyday thoughts”.
