Cathy Jain shares woozy new single 'cool kid'

Channelling the hazy, kicked back energy of the likes of Still Woozy and Men I Trust, alt-pop newcomer Cathy Jain may not have been around all that long, but is set to make waves with new single 'cool kid'.

The latest in a stream of lockdown projects written and recorded in her North West home and produced by Goa based Heron (Cracked Analogue), 'cool kid' combines Cathy's influences of Lana Del Rey and Frank Ocean in effortlessly cool, joyful style.

From its simplistic, bouncy groove and dreamy hook to Cathy's soft, luscious vocals; 'cool kid' is a mere introduction to an artist destined for incredible things.

Speaking about the track, Cathy Jain explains; "Lyrically, I think lots of people, especially those my age, will relate to the theme of fakeness vs authenticity and how people present themselves to each other. In a way, all four of my singles are centred around this concept but present the message in stylistically different ways."
