After months of teasing, Winchester trio and masters of melody Flyte have announced the release of their highly anticipated second album, 'This Is Really Going To Hurt' - due 9th April via Island Records.
As the band told us during an interview back in June, it's "a break up album! But musically it’s so varied, I’d say there are plenty of surprises in there. Every song has a very distinct personality.”
Today the band have also dropped a taste of what's to come in the form of 'Under The Skin', “a build-up of tension. It warns of imminent chaos. An ode to a relationship that’s on the brink of destruction. I hope we never have to write a song like it again, it was a very dark time” as frontman Will Taylor explains.
In typical Flyte fashion, the track is a lesson in how break-up songs. An immersive and warming cut powered by Taylor's emotion-drenched vocals and sheer melancholia.
