With a brand spanking new EP, 'Good Dog, Bad Dream' dropping tomorrow via Grand Jury - indie-pop heavyweights Hippo Campus have unveiled a brand new single and video in the form of 'Sex Tape'.

Youthful as ever - the ever ascending outfit's loveable brand of alt-pop fizzes with excitably energy despite its cathartic, darkly humorous subject matter. Speaking about the new cut, frontman Jake Luppen explains: “‘Sex Tape’ is about a Minneapolis character we used to sort of hang out with, and we came up with the song very much off-the-cuff. It’s a ridiculous song. It’s about a party we all went to with this person, and then we also wrote about him trying to sleepwith one of our sisters..

There’s a lot where you can sort of just feel the Minnesota summers in the song, or a ‘The Boys are Back in Town’ vibe. It’s also about the idea of how this person took a different path than us, like our upbringings weren’t that different, but I could totally see how I could have gone down that divergent path and become the same sort of person. I’m sort of interrogating how I could have ended up like that.”
