A much needed success story of 2020, Little Suspicions are a moody indie-rock foursome that managed to make magic out of what most would consider a dire year. While lockdown lingered on, the Kent-based talent wasted no time in honing their skills to create new single 'Limes'.
The track expertly delivers a nostalgic fusion of 60s-tinted romance and swinging string instruments. Wistful but joyful, 'Limes' exudes a subtle air of much-needed optimism. Where effortlessly suave vocals complete the sentimental lyrics, the bass is silky, fluid and rich.
There’s something mesmerising about this band that’s hard to put a finger on, but it makes for an exciting yet blissful listen.
At the time of writing, Little Suspicions have amassed almost 12,000 plays on their debut 'Wasting All My Time' and no doubt, 'Limes' will see similar or greater success as they continue to develop their sulky charm. If their stellar performance for BBC Kent sessions is anything to go by, Little Suspicions’ eventual live shows aren’t to be missed.
