Bounding through 2020 at an unrelenting pace, London based Mellah returns with the fourth in a series of alt-pop singles, Hitchin.
As with each of its predecessors, Hitchin, potentially his best work to date, displays a new side to Liam Ramsden’s immersive and diverse sound. While the addictiveness of the indie-pop found in first single Habit is nestled discretely in the background of Hitchin, it’s the blues-tinged foreground which sets the track apart.
Speaking about the new cut, Mellah says, “‘Hitchin’ is about relinquishing control. Forever pining and searching and digging for contentment, meaning and joy when in reality it's in your back pocket, all you need to do is stop looking for it to notice the free ride.”.
