The latest in Lewis Goswell's steady feed of atmospheric synth-pop, Old Swing has released his first single in almost a year, 'Bruised'.
True to Old Swing's signature, energetic take on indie; 'Bruised' picks up on the uplifting pop sensibilities of the likes of LANY and The 1975 and shifts them into a hip-swinging, head-bobbing rhythm. Boasting one earworm of a synth hook and Lewis's tenderly anthemic vocals, it's yet another testament to the Londoner's knack for breezy pop.
Speaking about the track, Lewis explains: "Bruised is about all ‘getting over it’ that recovery process which everyone goes though after a volatile relationship ending and putting belief in time being the best healer. As always I wanted it to be as upbeat and as catchy as possible whilst addressing something that can be a bit of a sad topic. I write happy songs for sad people!"
