Back with his first new material since 2020's 'cape canaveral', Pizzagirl has confirmed the release of his eagerly anticipated second album, 'Softcore Mourn' - due 16th July by Manchester's indie hitmaker label Heist or Hit.

With the announcement comes the aching melancholy pop of 'Car Freshener Aftershave', a departure from the ambient sound we've become familiar with, and a step up out of Liverpool's DIY scene straight into a world of fizzling retro pop.

It's here we find Liam maximising his talent for turning genuine and honest emotion into hooking, characterful pop made for late-night hip swinging and crying into your pillow alike.

Speaking about his musical return, Liam tells: “Over the last year or so I’ve been screaming, sighing, crying and lying at my computer, which has manifested itself into my aptly titled second album “Softcore Mourn”. This first single “Car Freshener Aftershave” is a cold reminder to the internet that I still exist and I still haven’t figured that out yet. I’d say this is a break-up song.
