Get your disco shoes on as Rayowa are back with their debut EP Keepin' Me Under.
The three-piece band of three brothers (Dan, Reece and Luke Baker) from Essex, who share the love of disco and soul music, have bought us an infused, retro pop project.
Taking listeners on a rollercoaster journey, through the theme of breakdowns, partying, toxic people and the constant cycle people find themselves in. Rayowa captures what everyone feels like on a daily basis through a four-piece track EP.
The whole project revisit sounds of 70s glam disco splashed with luxurious vocals and laid down by giants such as Nile Rodgers.
With hit singles Better Man and Chance being part of the track list, listeners also had the chance to hear the title of the project Keepin' Me Under; a funky, disco tune perfect for those late summer nights. With such a small EP featuring only four tracks, we wish we could hear more from them.
Rayowa may not have been part of their influence’s era and with only little to share, they have really done their homework.
Overall their sound is mixed with clear falsetto and chiming guitars of disco with slick and effortless charisma. With plans to expand their live line-up to a nine-strong team, the group will be coming to a city near you.
