Sophie Odira pokes fun at bare-minimum dating on sweet new single 'Little Love'

Serving up a sweet, relatable listen - 18 year old Hertfordshire singer-songwriter Sophie Odira has unveiled her first single with Tinpot Records.

"The bar is on the floor" Sophie lulls as she shares the exhaustion and frustration of an entire generation on 'Little Love' - a tongue-in-cheek jab at the dilemmas caused by modern dating.

Inspired by those thirst-trap TikTok guys who have somehow managed to rack up countless admirers by expressing the most basic of kind mannerisms, the lowkey number puts a refreshing, almost joyful spin on anti-dating lyricism as she comes to the realisation that it's more than ok to hold out for someone who goes beyond the bare minimum.

"Sometimes you feel like the bare minimum is all that you deserve, and if you expect the bare minimum then you can never be disappointed because you don't have all these massively high expectations," tells Sophie.

"I know that a lot of people relate to that first verse, but I want people to listen and realise that's not the be all and end all of love and relationships,” she adds. “You don't have to get into a relationship for the sake of it, or be in one which doesn't serve you how it should be. It's okay to be on your own."
